We are looking for Silicon Test and Validation Engineer for the following project in Germany.
Job title: Silicon Test and validation Engineer (m/f/x)
Location: Regensburg, Germany
Work mode: 100% On-Site
Hiring Type: Freelance / B2B Contract
Duration: 6months initially (extension anticipated)
Job Description:
- ATE test program development and release, calibration and cross-site correlation, data analysis and yield improvement, and scripting and automation.
- Lead full cycle of tester development against engineering requirement specifications. Take complete ownership of transferring metrology technologies from R&D to mass production
- Establish and perform tester alignment and calibration procedures and ensure testers are performing as intended and providing accurate data
- Work with engineering design team(s) to clarify/refine performance metric definition for test solution implementation
- Define, design and develop optical metrology solutions including hardware engineering, test software implementation, and instrument qualification
- Develop benchtop and production instrumentation to characterize complex optical modules and integrated systems (display and optics)
- Collect and perform statistical analysis on metrology data to correlate to performance metrics
- Explore novel optical metrology technologies and work with suppliers on prototype development
- Up to 30% domestic and international travel required
Minimum Qualifications
- BS degree in Optical Engineering, Physics or a related technical discipline with 2+ years of experience or Advanced Degree in Optical Engineering, Physics
- Experience in ATE Equipment programming (e.g. Teradyne, Advantest)
- Hands-on experience in optical metrology development from concept to system validation
- Hands-on experience in optical metrology development from concept to system validation
- Experience in test automation (instrument control, data collection and analysis) using LabView, Matlab or Python
- Proficiency in statistical data analysis using Minitab or JMP
- Professional level proficiency in English
- Proficient communication and presentation skills
