Our client, a leading pharmaceutical firm in Basel Switzerland area is looking for an experienced Service / Operations Manager for a 3 months contract with an immediate startYour responsibilities will be:
• Accountable for order placement and follow-up (end-to-end tracking)
• Place infrastructure orders according to detailed planning schedule and specifications from architects
• Align (bi-weekly) plan on detailed level with execution teams across entire supply chain
• Responsible for pushing the order until acknowledgement and delivery date confirmation
• Manage the request management resources
• Accountable for operational change management, perform reschedule/ change of orders where necessary
• Place decommission orders according to detailed planning schedule
• Escalate as necessary in case of potential infrastructure delays
• Provide order data into KPI process
• Deputize Integration Manager
• Contribute to excellent teamwork within the program and across related initiatives
Essential skills are:
• Fluent in English – both verbal and written
• Proven track record in service management and a strong focus on delivery
• Good understanding of infrastructure and applications architecture with a focus on UNIX, Windows and Oracle platforms
• Several years of experience in Service Management, preferably in a similar role
Desirable skills are:
• Understanding of GIS service management processes
• Understanding of IBM service management processes and tools
• German language
