Description

For our client, we are looking for a Senior Solution Architect (m/f/d) to support the design of a multi-tenant SaaS platform for dynamic pricing within the tourism industry.

The objective of this short-term architecture project is to define the target architecture for a scalable, cloud-native SaaS solution that can serve multiple customers on a shared platform while meeting high standards of performance, flexibility, and maintainability.

A key focus of the engagement is the design of a flexible and high-performing architecture capable of supporting a highly dynamic data model across multiple tenants. As customers may have varying business requirements, configurations, and data structures, the solution must enable tenant-specific customization while ensuring strong scalability, performance, and data isolation.

Tasks:

• Develop and document the target architecture for a multi-tenant SaaS solution
• Design a scalable and robust end-to-end architecture based on business and non-functional requirements
• Evaluate a flexible and extensible data model capable of adapting to varying customer requirements
• Define architectural boundaries, key components, services, data stores, and integrations, including responsibilities and interactions
• Structure business domains following Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles
• Define core data flows, processing chains, and integration patterns
• Design a modular, extensible, and future-proof architecture and evaluate architectural options using Architecture Decision Records (ADRs)
• Visualize and document system landscapes, key system interactions, data flows, interface principles, and tenant-specific processes
• Establish and document architecture principles, technical guardrails, technology decisions, and open architectural topics
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineering teams to align architecture with business objectives
• Provide architectural guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

Must have´s (Tools, Systemumgebung, Plattform, DB):

• Proven experience in designing and developing multi-tenant SaaS applications
• Strong project experience as a Solution Architect, Software Architect, or System Architect
• Deep expertise in software architecture, system design, and the design of distributed, scalable, cloud-native applications
• Strong hands-on experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and business domain modeling
• In-depth knowledge of tenant isolation, tenant context management, tenant onboarding and provisioning, and tenant-specific configuration concepts
• Extensive experience designing and operating cloud-native solutions on AWS
• Strong understanding of data architecture, integration architecture, and enterprise integration patterns
• Experience with architecture documentation standards such as C4, arc42, and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs)
• Solid technical understanding of modern software development using Java/Spring Boot, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working effectively across business, product, and engineering organizations
• Fluent English language skills
