Senior Software Developer – Test Automation Platform (m/f/d)
Python | Pytest | CI/CD | Software Architecture
Location: Berlin, Germany
Start Date: 1 September 2026
Contract Duration: 12 months
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Temporary Staffing (Arbeitnehmerüberlassung / AUG)
Salary: €72,000–€96,000 gross annually, depending on experience
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer to design, develop and operate a central test-automation platform for complex radio-communication systems.
In this role, you will take responsibility for developing an overarching end-to-end test infrastructure, combining software architecture, automated system verification, CI/CD integration and technical data management.
You will work at the intersection of software development, system integration and test automation, helping to establish reliable, scalable and reproducible verification processes for sophisticated technical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain a central test-automation platform for complex communication systems.
- Define the architecture and automation logic of an overarching end-to-end testing environment.
- Implement continuous system-verification workflows using Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Develop and maintain APIs, communication protocols and interfaces connecting systems under test, measurement equipment and external systems.
- Automate the collection, storage, processing, analysis and visualisation of measurement and test results.
- Integrate test-management and requirements-engineering tools into the automation infrastructure.
- Ensure reproducible configurations, version control and reliable test-data management.
- Continuously improve the platform's architecture, performance, maintainability and automation capabilities.
Your Profile
- Several years of professional experience in software development, particularly in test automation.
- Strong programming skills in Python, with practical experience using Pytest.
- Experience designing and implementing automated test frameworks and test infrastructures.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI and GitLab Jobs.
- Good knowledge of Linux environments and repository management.
- Experience developing and integrating APIs, interfaces and communication protocols.
- Familiarity with measurement equipment, test rigs, external systems and technical databases.
- Practical experience with dashboards, data analysis, visualisation and technical reporting.
- Ability to independently design technical solutions and take ownership of complex software components.
Advantageous Experience
- Background in RF technology, radio communications or telecommunications.
- Experience working with safety-critical or highly regulated technical systems.
- Familiarity with requirements-management and test-management platforms.
