Senior Software Architect - 50% remote

Software Architect required to join a team who design, develop and manage next generation systems in a tech environment of JavaScript, HTML, Cloud technologies/architecture and C++.
The Software Architect will work with business owners, designers, implementation teams, testers and technical program managers throughout the organisation. The Software Architect will coordinate work across multiple teams, provide technical leadership, and Cross-team coordination, leadership and will be taking part/delivering high-level presentations relating to the Software suite.
The Role
- Gather Architectural requirements (analyse the business drivers, system context, and critical success factors) from stakeholders
- Design the architecture, develop architectural structures and coordination strategies that meet functional requirements, quality requirements (ie: availability, performance, security, testability, and usability) as well as any constraints.
- Evaluate the architecture;
- Document the architecture in sufficient detail and in an easily accessible format ensuring easy communication with developers and other stakeholders.
- Work with and transform existing system(s).
- Reuse architecture across multiple systems; achieve successful software product lines to increase quality and reduce the cost and time to market.
The Person
The successful Software Architect will have the following skills/experience:
- Independent decision maker, self-starter
- Strong team building & mentoring skills
- Wide tech experience across JavaScript, HTML, C++, Cloud Architecture & software
- English-speaking
- Experience in designing and developing software-intensive systems (ie: knowledge of software engineering, design techniques & tools, programming languages and models, hardware/software interface, web-based applications, and Internet technologies).
- Technical foundations and practical experience in applying advanced concepts of software architecture
- Master's degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical discipline
- Automotive experience is a plus!
