We are looking for a Senior SAP S/4HANA Finance Consultant with proven expertise in French finance localization to support the European rollout of an existing Japanese global template.

The following experience is required for this project:

- Strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation or rollout projects, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, bank accounting, tax, period-end closing, and financial reporting.
- Proven expertise in French finance localization, statutory accounting, VAT requirements, audit reporting, and country-specific legal compliance.
- Experience designing and configuring France-specific finance processes while ensuring alignment with a global template and governance model.
- Practical knowledge of French electronic invoicing and reporting processes, structured invoice formats, document lifecycle controls, and integration with an approved external platform.
- Experience with statutory and audit reports, including French VAT reporting, EC Sales List requirements, overdue receivables and payables reporting, and the French accounting audit file.
- Strong knowledge of chart-of-accounts harmonization, including mapping local statutory accounts to group or IFRS accounts and designing Financial Statement Versions for local and group reporting.
- Hands-on experience preparing and migrating finance master data, including legacy-system extraction, data cleansing, mapping, reconciliation, and migration of open customer, supplier, and general-ledger items.
- Experience activating, configuring, and validating relevant SAP Fiori applications for finance users.
- Ability to prepare functional specifications, configuration documentation, test scripts, training materials, and cutover documentation.
- Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to work effectively with local finance teams, global template owners, developers, tax specialists, and auditors.

Optional Skills:

• Professional fluency in French.
• Working knowledge of SAP Controlling, particularly cost centers, profit centers, allocations, and integration with Financial Accounting.
• Experience with SAP Document and Reporting Compliance or comparable e-invoicing and statutory-reporting solutions.
• Knowledge of integration points between Finance and Sales, Materials Management, Procurement, and Treasury.
• Experience in European or multi-country SAP rollout programs and cross-cultural project environments.

On-site presence may be required for requirement workshops, solution alignment, user acceptance testing, training, migration rehearsals, cut over, and go-live support.

Main task/activity:

• Support the functional design, configuration, validation, and deployment of SAP S/4HANA Finance processes for the French rollout. Ensure that local statutory, tax, e-invoicing, reporting, migration, and closing requirements are delivered within the global-template framework and are ready for user acceptance, cut-over, and go-live.

Other tasks and activities:

- Conduct requirements workshops with French finance stakeholders and translate statutory and operational needs into clear functional requirements, design decisions, and action items.
- Perform fit-to-template and gap analyses across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, tax, banking, period-end closing, and statutory reporting.
- Design and configure the approved France-specific finance solution, including organizational settings, tax parameters, document controls, account determination, reporting structures, and relevant SAP Fiori applications.
- Coordinate with development and integration teams on enhancements, interfaces, forms, e-invoicing outputs, statutory reports, and external-platform connectivity, and review functional solutions.
- Map the French chart of accounts to the global or IFRS chart of accounts and support the design of local and group Financial Statement Versions.
- Support finance master-data migration, including legacy-data extraction, cleansing, transformation, mapping, reconciliation, and migration of balances and open items.
- Develop and execute unit, integration, regression, and user-acceptance tests; document results, manage defects, and support readiness for sign-off.
- Support business users during training, testing, migration rehearsals, cutover, production validation, go-live, and early-life support.
- Prepare and maintain functional specifications, configuration documents, process descriptions, test scripts, user guides, training materials, issue logs, and cut-over checklists.
- Collaborate with local finance, global template, tax, technical, migration, security, and audit teams to resolve issues and ensure compliance with project governance
