Beschreibung
A fast-growing German energy company designs, finances, builds and operates heating plants for property owners. To grow its plant portfolio several times over, partly through acquisitions, it is modernising its systems. A new platform for customers, contracts, assets and field service, a document-management system and a data platform will join the existing CRM and ERP, all connected through one integration layer built on n8n. This role builds that integration layer and moves the company from manual, spreadsheet-based processes to automated flows between its systems.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain integrations between CRM, the customer and asset platform, ERP and billing, energy monitoring and metering, document management, and the data platform
- Implement event-driven and scheduled syncs across REST and OData APIs and webhooks. Writes are idempotent, failed calls are retried, and vendor rate limits are respected
- Design, build, and maintain n8n workflows as versioned code in Git
- Make failures visible with error workflows, a dead-letter queue with replay, monitoring, logging and alerting
- Build bulk imports to migrate existing data and to onboard plants from acquisitions
- Write data contracts and automated tests, including tests that detect changes in vendor APIs
- Document every flow with a specification and a runbook
Profile
- Strong experience in backend engineering with a focus on system integrations
- Proficiency with TypeScript and Node.js, and with REST APIs, webhooks and OData
- Hands-on experience running n8n workflows in production
- Solid SQL skills, ideally PostgreSQL
- Experience integrating CRM, ERP or document-management platforms. Experience with epilot, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, DocuWare or Snowflake is a plus
- Solid understanding of authentication (OAuth 2.0, API keys), secrets management and GDPR-compliant handling of personal data
- An engineering routine that keeps integrations reliable: pull requests, code review, automated tests and CI
- Knowledge of the energy sector, such as metering or utility billing, is a plus
- Ability to work reliably in a remote setup
- Fluent German and good English, because the business teams and several vendors work in German
