For one of our innovative technology clients, we are looking for an experienced Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native / Expo / TypeScript) to help build and scale a modern mobile application.
The product combines real-time data, interactive maps, geospatial features, and location-based services.
You will join a small, highly skilled engineering team and take significant ownership of the mobile architecture, technical decisions, and end-to-end feature development.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-moving environment, shaping technical solutions, and building production-ready applications.
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications using React Native, Expo, and TypeScript.
Take ownership of mobile architecture and contribute to key technical decisions.
Build and enhance features involving real-time data, interactive maps, geolocation, and push notifications.
Optimize mobile performance, reliability, rendering, and memory usage.
Implement automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
Manage mobile build and release processes for iOS and Android.
Collaborate closely with other engineers and contribute to technical standards and code quality.
Support backend API development when needed.

5+ years of relevant professional software engineering experience.
Strong commercial experience with React Native, Expo, and TypeScript.
At least 2 React Native applications successfully shipped to production with real users.
Solid understanding of React Native New Architecture (Fabric, TurboModules).
Proven experience taking ownership of mobile architecture and technical decisions.
Strong knowledge of mobile performance optimization, testing, and app store deployment.
Experience integrating mobile mapping SDKs such as MapLibre, Mapbox, or Google Maps.
Experience with modern state management solutions and offline-capable applications.
Relevant technical degree or equivalent qualifying technical education.
Professional English communication skills.
Currently residing in Germany with valid work authorization.
EU/NATO citizenship required due to security-related project requirements.
Backend development experience with Node.js or Bun.
Experience with real-time geospatial data, GeoJSON, or location tracking.
Advanced React Native animations and Gesture Handler.
Experience in aviation, drone technology, or regulated environments.
Experience working in small, autonomous engineering teams.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
German language skills.
