Main tasks:

• Development and evaluation of mechanical concepts for substrate holders and associated assemblies
• Translation of developed concepts into detailed and manufacturable design solutions
• Design of components and precision assemblies in the fields of vacuum technology and sealing technology
• Development of mechanical locking and closing mechanisms
• Design and further development of suitable sealing concepts
• Selection and design integration of appropriate plastic materials and elastomers
• Development of vacuum-compatible mechanical designs
• Design of precision mechanical components
• Consideration of the requirements of electroplating and deposition processes in component design
• Engineering support and supervision of prototypes and test setups

Main qualifications:

• In-depth professional experience in mechanical design engineering
• Extensive hands-on expertise with Solid Edge
• Experience in the development, evaluation, and design implementation of mechanical concepts
• Strong knowledge of plastics engineering and material science
• Experience with elastomers, sealing technology, and the development of sealing concepts
• Experience in vacuum technology and/or the development of vacuum-compatible designs
• Ideally, experience with mechanical locking and closing mechanisms
• Experience in the design of precision mechanical components and assemblies is considered an advantage
• Knowledge of Teamcenter is an advantage
• Excellent written and spoken English skills
