For a challenging project with one of our clients, we are looking for a highly experienced Kotlin expert with strong AWS skills and an excellent understanding of modern software architecture.
Your Responsibilities
- Design, develop and enhance scalable backend services using Kotlin
- Take ownership of technical concepts and architectural decisions
- Build and operate cloud-native solutions on AWS
- Design robust APIs and distributed microservice architectures
- Ensure high code quality through automated testing, code reviews and clean-code principles
- Contribute throughout the entire software development lifecycle—from requirements and implementation to deployment and production operations
- Collaborate with international engineering teams, Product Owners and other stakeholders
- Optionally contribute to frontend development
Required Skills
- At least 6-8 of proven, hands-on professional experience developing with Kotlin—mandatory
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS—mandatory
- Excellent understanding of modern software, cloud and microservice architectures
- Experience designing and operating highly scalable distributed systems
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs and OpenAPI
- Experience with Spring Boot and/or Ktor
- Experience with Gradle, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines
- Solid knowledge of automated testing and modern software engineering practices
- Strong ownership mentality and experience operating services in production
- Excellent written and spoken English—mandatory
- Strong communication skills and experience working in international agile teams
Nice to Have
- Frontend development experience, ideally with TypeScript and React
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code
- Knowledge of observability, monitoring and distributed tracing
