Project Context
For an international enterprise environment, we are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer / Platform Engineer to support the development, automation and operation of an Azure-based platform.
The project is part of a larger platform engineering setup and focuses on building reliable, secure and scalable cloud services for internal data and application teams. The role combines Azure engineering, Infrastructure as Code, Azure DevOps, automation and secure platform operations.

Responsibilities
  1. Design, build and operate Azure platform components
  2. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and PowerShell
  3. Build and improve Azure DevOps pipelines for automated deployments
  4. Support secure configuration, documentation and compliance-related processes
  5. Troubleshoot issues across cloud services, pipelines, networking and identity
  6. Support go-live, migration and operational handover activities
  7. Work closely with engineering, security, compliance and operations teams
  8. Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams
Required Skills
  1. Strong experience as Cloud Engineer / Platform Engineer in Azure environments
  2. Very good knowledge of Terraform, PowerShell and Azure DevOps
  3. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, YAML, Git workflows and release management
  4. Hands-on experience with Azure services, ideally including Databricks, Data Lake, Data Factory, Key Vault, Web Apps for Containers, Cosmos DB or Azure AI Search
  5. Good understanding of Azure networking, private endpoints, VNets and security concepts
  6. Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities, service principals and role assignments
  7. Structured, proactive working style and strong communication skills in international teams
Nice to Have
  1. Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics or Application Insights
  2. Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments
  3. Background in data, analytics or platform engineering environments
  4. Experience with GitHub Copilot or AI-assisted coding
