Scientist - BioProcess Development (m/f/d)

• As a Scientist joining the bioprocess development team within Plasma Product Development, you will be responsible for planning, conducting and evaluating process development studies for a variety of therapeutic candidate proteins. You will report to the Senior Scientist BioProcess Development.

• Your main responsibility in this role will be the development of experimental study designs as well as the planning and execution of experiments including data evaluation and presentation in department meetings
• Another focus will be the coordination of activities with other departments, e.g., bioanalytical team, global digital core, QC, Operations in a proactive and independent manner to ensure timely completion of project work packages
• This role will mainly focus on working with protein purification workflows using chromatography (batch mode and continuous chromatography), TFF, filtration, precipitation etc.
• As a technical expert of processes and devices, you will gather information from external suppliers and collaboration partners
• You will support the creation and maintenance of records as well as technical documents (including standard operating procedures, study protocols and reports) within internal documentation systems
• The Maintenance of laboratory equipment according to specific quality standards (e.g., GSP, GLP) as well as the creation of user requirements and the maintenance qualifications and calibration of laboratory equipment will be part of your routine

• A University Degree in a relevant field of science (e.g. Master of Science in biology biochemistry / protein chemistry), PhD will be beneficial
• Professional demonstrated experience in protein purification
• Found knowledge in chromatography and experience in continuous chromatography (e.g. simulated moving bed chromatography)
• Preferably you will have experience in working with analysis software like Jmp
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
• German speaking and writing ability is an asset
• 1-3 years of relevant post graduate experience
