Architect (SAP RISE) (m/f/d); FREELANCE; Germany


Good afternoon,

I am looking for an experienced SAP Security Lead / Architect to establish and govern security for a greenfield SAP RISE landscape. You will act as the central authority for SAP security, owning security architecture, IAM, governance, vulnerability management, hardening, compliance, and provider coordination throughout a large-scale SAP transformation.
Project:
Start: ASAP
Capacity: Full-time
Initial Duration: first contract until 30.04.2027 (extension expected afterwards)
Remote and on-site Share: 100% Remote
Project languages: English (Fluent)


Responsibilities
  • Design and implement the SAP security operating model, governance framework, and standards.
  • Own SAP security architecture and secure-by-design principles.
  • Establish IAM capabilities including role concepts, SoD, PAM, EAM, SSO, and MFA.
  • Drive vulnerability management, risk assessments, and remediation activities.
  • Define SAP hardening standards and security baselines.
  • Govern security responsibilities within the SAP RISE shared-responsibility model.
  • Implement audit logging, SIEM/QRadar integration, and security monitoring.
  • Coordinate security activities across business stakeholders, SAP, and implementation partners.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Extensive SAP Security & Authorization expertise (PFCG, SU24, SAP GRC).
  • Experience as a SAP Security Lead, Architect, or Senior Security Consultant.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP RISE security and cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with IAM, SoD, PAM/EAM, SSO, and MFA.
  • SAP Security Architecture, hardening, and secure configuration management.
  • Vulnerability Management, SAP Security Notes, and risk governance.
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIS2, and security compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
