SAP PP / PP?PI Consultant- (Process Industry) (m/f/d); FREELANCE; Germany

Good evening,

We are seeking an experienced SAP PP-PI Consultant to support a long-term project within the process industry environment. The role will primarily focus on the execution layer of PP-PI, ensuring seamless integration with manufacturing operations and related systems.

Project:

Start: August

Capacity: Full-time

Initial Duration: until January 2028

Remote and on-site Share: remote plus On-site presence in Switzerland required (last two weeks of September)

Project languages: English (Fluent) German (Big Plus, NOT MUST)

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and support the implementation and optimization of SAP PP-PI (Process Industry) module

• Strong focus on the execution phase, including production order/process order handling

• Design, specify, and coordinate WRICEF objects (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms)

• Collaborate closely with development teams and ensure end-to-end delivery including testing and validation

• Manage and support integration with MES systems

• Configure and support: Control Recipes, Process Messages and IDoc communication interfaces

• Work with cross-functional teams (SAP modules, business stakeholders, external partners)

• Ensure high-quality documentation and adherence to project standards

Required Expertise

• Proven experience in SAP PP-PI implementations, particularly in process industry environments

• Strong hands-on expertise in execution processes (process orders, confirmations, production execution)

• Solid understanding of: MES integration with SAP, Control recipes and process messages and IDoc-based communication

• Experience in WRICEF specification and coordination with development teams

• Strong involvement in testing cycles (unit testing, integration testing, UAT support)

• Excellent stakeholder communication skills
