Job Title: SAP Business Consultant - Energy and utilities

Location: Hybrid, Mannheim, Germany

Contract Type: 3-Year Contract, Starting ASAP

Role Overview:

As a Business Consultant specializing in the digitalization of the energy transition, you will play a key role in advising energy supply companies on technical and process-related issues. Your primary focus will be on designing, modelling, and implementing business processes for energy suppliers, with a particular emphasis on the market roles of grid and metering point operation. You will collaborate closely with clients, conducting workshops to identify efficiency potential, contributing to reorganization and restructuring efforts, and providing valuable insights for analysis. Additionally, you will work alongside IT experts to support the design and implementation of future IT systems, both on-premise and in the cloud.

Responsibilities:

• Advise energy supply companies on technical and process-related issues related to the digitalization of the energy transition.

• Design, model, and implement business processes for energy suppliers, with a focus on grid and metering point operation.

• Conduct customer workshops to identify efficiency potential and contribute to reorganization and restructuring efforts.

• Provide insights and information for analysis to drive informed decision-making.

• Collaborate with IT experts to design and implement future IT systems, both on-premise and in the cloud.

Requirements:

• University degree in economics, natural sciences, engineering, or computer science, or comparable practical experience.

• Practical consulting or project experience in the energy industry.

• Good knowledge in one or more of the following areas: energy market regulations (BDEW, BNetzA, BSI, iMS, GPKE, GeLi, WiM, GWA, EMT, edi@energy, SM-PKI, etc.), energy industry SAP modules.

• Practical experience in software architecture, software lifecycle, and solution design/architecture (preferred but not required).

• Highly motivated and passionate about the energy industry and digitalization.

• Customer and service-oriented with a proactive and innovative approach.
Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
