Für unseren Kunden suchen wir einen (Interims-) CTO.Working as a key member of the executive team and reporting to the CEO, the ideal CTO candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the company’s path to scalable and profitable platform-based product growth..
As CTO, your primary responsibilities will include:
Product and Platform Architecture Evolution
• Defining the vision and system architecture
• Improving organizational processes related to software design, operation and production for products and platforms
• Leading evolution of technology platform stack to expand into highly scalable cloud native architecture
• Architecture validation and performance proof points through experimentation
• Maintaining consistency between sub architectures of all products by validating architecture designs propositions and establishing development and modern architecture standards within the organization
• Technical guidance for software and solution architects for modernizing, merging and migrating products and services in a coherent roadmap
Technology Strategy
• Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies that could be leveraged to enhance the company's competitive edge.
• Ensure balance of the commercial goals of the company with the technical needs of the Product, Support and Engineering organizations
Product Development
• In collaboration with the Head of Product Mgmt oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to implementation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of new product features to current and future customers.
• Prioritize time to market and user experience over perfect engineered platforms
• Establish strong feedback cycles with all field and customer oriented organisations.
Technical Infrastructure
• Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of the technical infrastructure (cloud, hybrid, OnPrem).
• Implement and maintain robust systems for data protection and cybersecurity.
• Evolve CD/CI capabilities to optimize release cycles and quality of delivery
Risk management, Security & Privacy
• Ensure company systems, practices and processes uphold industry best practices and are aligned with industry certifications for securing user data.
• Oversee security and privacy operational tasks such as pen tests, automated vulnerability scanning and security assessments.
Communication & Culture
• Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders and team members, translating complex technical concepts into understandable terms.
• Sustain a culture of innovation and experimentation
• Maintain and expand customer focus in the engineering and product organizations
• Celebrate success while keeping a healthy culture of direct feedback across the complete organization.
• Strong Agile Leadership and Team Management, implementing best engineering, innovation and collaboration practices
• Lead and mentor the engineering team, fostering a collaborative work environment that meets the needs of the business and professional career goals of the employees.
• Set clear expectations and provide strategic direction to the engineering team.
Position Requirements
• Proven experience as a CTO or similar executive leadership role
• 5+ years of experience building and leading high-performing engineering teams
• 8+ years of experience in the software engineering industry working with SaaS, integration, realtime event driven / API first platform architectures and mobile applications
• Strong technical proficiency in the following technology stack or similar: Apache Kafka/ Flink, Redis, ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana), Grafana, Helm, Hibernate, JMeter, JPA, Keycloak, Linux, Prometheus, Quarkus, Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect, Swagger, UML, GitLab, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Logstash, Nexus, PostgreSQL, Spring, Spring Boot, TerraForm
• Strong organizational capabilities
• Effective verbal and written communication with all types of audiences - engineers, PMs, exec team and customers.
• Experience in the cyberphysical security space, IIoT or realtime event driven platforms is an asset
• Experience in leading and organizing successful agile teams and release trains based on SAFe is a strong plus
