Vacancy: DevOps Web Engineer (f/m) –We are looking for a DevOps Web Engineer (to start in mid-July) for our client, based in the Potsdam area. The project duration will be until the end of July in 2019. For this position, the employee in question will be hired on a project basis. The support, placement and all of our additional services are free of charge for you as the applicant.
Your Responsibilities as DevOps Web Engineer (f/m)
• The team is responsible for a variety of tasks, like configuration and infrastructure management and design, provisioning, troubleshooting and issue analysis
• Focus on:
o Migration from a legacy VMWare based environment to a private OpenStack Cloud
o Setup and first use in production of a Kubernetes based PaaS solution
• Support the team also focusing on finding stable and innovative solutions for new and existing products in close cooperation with the product development team
Your Qualification and Skills
• Strong cloud mindset and experience (AWS, preferrably OpenStack)
• Bootstrapping and provisioning of cloud instances and infrastructure like DNS, floating IPs (Terraform, Cloud init)
• Configuration management of cloud instances (Salt, Ansible, Puppet)
• Schedulers (k8s, Docker, nomad)
• Experienced in small application / tool development (Bots, self service frontends, cron-like tasks) is a big plus
• Classical System Engineering / System Admin experience is a plus
• Knowledge in relational and document-based DBs is a plus (MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra)
• Experienced in Kafka and its connectors (Connect, Flume) is a plus
• Cloud monitoring / ELK knowledge is a plus
