We are currently looking for an Requirement Manager in the area of Access Networks and Home Gateways
Start: January 2017
Duration: 3 month (quarterly roll-over contracts)
Location: Düsseldorf
Language: English
Role purpose: To define technical hardware and software specifications/definitions for connected and smart home devices such as gateways in conjunction with the clients key operating companies and device suppliers. To manage the requirements process, ie regular reviews with key stakeholder and releases of the product and technical requirements baseline.
Day-to-day:
- Identify and drive innovative hardware concepts for fixed broadband devices and manage hardware roadmap.
- Manage and drive the detailed technical hardware and software specification, development and delivery for fixed broadband (eg xDSL, Fibre, Cable, LTE) and smart home devices in line with market needs.
- Requirements management to support all key stakeholders with a concise and clear baseline of relevant product and technical requirements
- Analyse Requirements for CPE devices and give recommendations on these
Must have technical/professional qualifications:
- Expert knowledge in fixed broadband technologies incl. country specific flavors (egxDSL, Fibre, Cable) architecture
- Background in network engineering
- Strong process focus
- Experience with product development for CPE devices/fixed broadband devices for consumer side
- Home gateway experience
- Strong knowledge on Access Networks
- Expert knowledge in system design of CPE devices (WiFi, SoC's, RAM, Flash, SLIC, FXS, PHY), telecommunication SoC's (PGMII, PCIe, SPI, UART, PCM, Ethernet, USB, GPIO), CPE remote management (CWMP, TR69, data models, ACS)
- Strong knowledge in telecommunication protocols (DNS, DHCP, SIP, IPv4/6, VLAN, IPTV)
