Our client is looking for highly motivated automotive Project Managers for our automotive BU. The position requires that candidates demonstrate a proven track record of successive positions of increasing responsibility culminating in managing successful launches of OEM IVI projects. It is likely your experience has been gained at an Automotive OEM, Tier 1 supplier (head units and/or clusters) or alternately at a Tier 2 software solutions provider delivering automotive in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems and related embedded solutions.
Job details:
As Software Project Manager you will be responsible for leading the project throughout the entire lifecycle (setup, deployment, completion). Everyday work will include communicating with customer, monitoring project progress and interfacing with the team of developers and testers. Additionally regular reporting on project progress, cost, risks monitoring and management will be part of the everyday routine. The projects will be done for the biggest players in the automotive industry hence they are looking for the best candidates.
Your Skills and experience :-
Essential Skills :-
- 8-12 years of experience as Project Manager with both SW (majorly) and HW
- Good communication skills
- Customer and solution oriented thinking
- Get-things-done attitude
- Technical background
- Courage to make tough yes-or-no decisions
- Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts
- Respect for work and service quality
- Fluent English and German (Must here)
- Proven history of risk and requirement management
Desirable Skills :-
- Experience with Automotive projects
- Experience with software development for embedded projects
- Project Management Certificate (PMI, Prince2)
- Experience in Agile methodology
- Experience in Navigation/ Connectivity would be an added advantage
