As a Senior Electro-Mechanical Designer, your mission is to design, develop, and optimize electro-mechanical systems for cutting-edge quantum computing devices. Collaborate closely with quantum physicists and engineers to translate intricate quantum computing requirements into practical electro-mechanical solutions. Take the lead in developing prototypes, utilizing advanced CAD and CAE tools for 3D modelling, simulation, and analysis. Ensure designs meet stringent precision, reliability, and scalability requirements in quantum computing environments. Drive innovation in design methodologies and materials to enhance performance and efficiency. Manage the complete lifecycle of electro-mechanical components from concept to production. Additionally, lead and mentor a team of junior designers and engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with quantum physicists and engineers to translate complex quantum computing requirements into practical electro-mechanical solutions.
Lead the development of prototypes, including hands-on assembly and testing, to validate design concepts.
Utilize advanced CAD and CAE tools for 3D modelling, simulation, and analysis of electro-mechanical components.
Ensure designs meet stringent requirements for precision, reliability, and scalability in quantum computing environments.
Drive innovation in design methodologies and materials to enhance performance and efficiency.
Manage the complete lifecycle of electro-mechanical components from concept to production.
Lead and mentor a team of junior designers and engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
Your Profile:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field, with a strong emphasis on electro-mechanical design.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in designing electro-mechanical systems, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
Expertise in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD and simulation tools for stress, thermal, and dynamic analysis.
Profound understanding of the principles of quantum mechanics and their application in quantum computing.
Experience in working with cryogenic systems, vacuum technology, and high-precision mechanical assemblies.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Strong leadership and project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading complex projects.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
