LAN/WAN Network Architect - 6+ months - Remote - Start ASAPFor our international client in Europe, we are currently searching for an experienced Network LAN/WLAN Specialist to act as the Service owner.
Your main task is to support the customer's global network infrastructure and to help them in a global transformation journey focussing on Network Service design for LAN/WLAN.
You will be responsible for the high level and low level design of various LAN/WLAN projects and work closely with the Architects.
Tasks:
* Act as Service Owner LAN/WLAN
* Support IT transformation journey
* Pilot the development of the LAN/WLAN strategy
* Optimization of Networks (LAN/WLAN), including refreshment of the LAN/WLAN infrastructure
* Design LAN/WLAN network architecture for different locations (high level & low level)
* Communicate with and coordinate vendors
* Work closely with System Architects and Engineers
* Advice client on continuous development of LAN/WLAN Networks
* Stakeholder Management
Requirements:
* Long-term project experience as LAN/WAN Network Specialist and/or Architect
* Experience as Service Owner, Team lead or Coordinator
* Experience in high level and low level design
* Strong experience in Cisco (routing & switching, segmentation)
* Cisco routing and switching, segmentation, network security and automation
* Cisco Certified (CCNA minimum, CCNP/CCIE preferred)
* Project experience in DNS, DHCP, IPAM (DDI)
* Experience in large-scale LAN & WAN environments (10,000+ users)
* Project experience in WLC and Infoblox
* International project experience
* Beneficial: Manufacturing industry experience
* Strong communication skills
Project details:
* Start: March
* Duration: 6 months (+ option to extend)
* Workload: 5 days per week
* Location: Remote but some on site work may be required
* Languages: Fluency in English
