Technical Engineer As a Technical Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining Software applications.The resource will participate in every phase of the development lifecycle, from design stages up to the final product release.
The candidate will play a critical role in driving the development phase of the application.
The candidate will work closely with developers, testers and end users.
Responsibilities include: •
Understanding specifications and come up with a design/configuration document
Prepare work packages for design and development of software, creating unit tests, performance testing and code reviews.
He/she main tasks will focus on design, writing and debugging code, reporting bugs, testing and participating in component design reviews and usability testing.
Technical aeronautical background and knowledge
Planning and coordination of tasks with different stakeholder
Quality assurance of tasks; engineering/technical judgment required, e.g. plausibility check of value units/dimensions
Ability to understand report specifications and patterns; guide rule developers
Ability to collect requirements from internal sources and transform them into functional and design specifications if required
Ability to write easily maintainable and well-commented code that is easily understood by others
Proficient in understanding existing code and debugging tactics
Actively seek out to improve the process, find better, faster and more efficient methods for development
Technical documentation and diagrams, problem-solving and a willingness to keep knowledge updated Qualifications and Experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Background of Aeronautical industry
5+ years of experience with Java, J2EE and associated technologies
Developing software applications using Java, Java EE, JSON, HTML
Experience with HTTP, HTML and consuming RESTful APIs
Ability to understand and parse XML, JSON and serialized data
Experience with unit testing and Test-Driven Development;
Knowledge and direct experience with software deployment and build/release processes
Understand the importance of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall,) and software design techniques (UML, entity relationship diagramming, use cases, data flow diagramming); know how they impact the quality of your design process, team collaboration, and work product
