IT Business Analyst – ERP / PLM Systems
Location: Cologne, Germany (Hybrid)
Duration: 6–9 months
Language: English-speaking environment
Contract: Freelance / Contract
The OpportunityWe are currently looking for a self-motivated Business Analyst to join a 6–9 month project based in Cologne.
You will act as the main point of contact between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring business requirements are clearly understood, documented and delivered.
The role will involve gathering and documenting requirements, following up on development progress, and supporting testing and validation to ensure solutions meet business needs.
Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the link between business stakeholders and development teams.
Gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements.
Translate business needs into clear specifications for developers.
Follow up on development progress and ensure requirements are understood.
Support testing, UAT and validation of delivered solutions.
Identify and help resolve issues, gaps and requirement changes.
Required ExperiencePrevious experience as a Business Analyst within an IT or ERP environment.
Experience working with bespoke or in-house ERP systems.
Good understanding of data structures and data flows.
Knowledge or experience of at least one PLM system, such as Teamcenter, Windchill, ENOVIA or SAP PLM is advantageous
Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both business and technical teams.
Self-motivated, organised and comfortable working independently.
Fluent English.
Desirable: Experience within manufacturing, engineering or product-based environments, particularly involving ERP and PLM systems.
