For our customer within the pharma industry, we are searching for the location Munich anInterim Chief Accountant Germany (m/f)
This is a project on freelance basis, start is planned for November 2018. Duration is at least 18 months.
Tasks:
- Support management of all accounting topics
- Primary contact within the business for US GAAP, local GAAP
- Maintain a high standard of internal control that complies with Sarbanes Oxley, Corporate policies and procedures, BFS processes, and local requirements
- Handle all non-routine accounting transactions & ensure the SSCs are providing appropriate support
- Work closely with Assistant Controller at European Capability Centre, Tax COE and Corporate Tax Department
- Liaise with internal and external advisors and auditors (internal audit, statutory audit, tax audit)
- Represent Technical Accounting Network in their country and ensure that accounting policies are properly implemented in the local market
- Work on preparing legal entity forecast and budget
- Be responsible for filing all statutory financial statements and other statutory returns
- Work on and support special projects, drive and implement process changes as required
- Lead and manage local accounting team
Skills required:
- Strong technical accounting, US & local GAAPs skills, tax knowledge is of benefit
- Experience in finance & SAP and Hyperion knowledge
- Experience of dealing with professional auditors, both internal and external & working in a matrix organization, balancing and aligning priorities with functional and non functional colleagues
- Enthusiastic, energetic and self- motivated strong team player with hands-on mentality
- Experience of working in multinational and multicultural business environment
- Demonstrates strong analytical & problem solving skills in conjunction with strong written and oral presentation skills
