Hi ,I'm looking for Infrastructure Specialist – Cloud services
to be based in Würzburg, Germany
Start asap - 3 month + extention
Responsibilities:
• Operational tasks and help in the implementation of several proof of concepts of future proof Cloud infrastructure services in alignment with Enterprise architecture and service owner
• Perform tasks and activities with minimal oversight in a team environment; interact regularly with team members, principal investigators and project managers.
• Work with other Service and System Owners to develop
o next generation of working environment with regards to cloud computing
o future proof hybrid on prem and cloud based data center model
• Develop business cases to support decision making
• Technical knowledge in server setup, cloud services and management across multiple environments – desktop, cluster, cloud, etc.
• Work with Project Teams to initiate the project delivery for the implementation of future services
• Drive analysis and continuous improvement for respective service area
• Ultimately accountable for the related services and reviews/signs off change requests
• Communicate with Senior Management Team to support decision making process regarding next generation service
Competencies:
• Substantial experience in working in international IT Service Organizations
• Expert in cloud services and cloud based infrastructure architecture concepts
• Working knowledge is preferred in at least one of the following related-skillsets:
- NoSQL Databases like Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis..
- ETL pipeline development (Nifi, Kafka, Cloudera..)
- Container technologies and microservices (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong administrative experience in cloud services and infrastructures, such as Microsoft Azure and AWS
• Creative thinker and early adopter mentality
• Good understanding of IT Data Center Design
• Good understanding of Security and Data Protection
• Very strong service attitude and proactive team player
• Strong communication skills, both within the IT community as well as with key business stakeholders, including the ability to present to senior management
• Person will be hired in the headquarters Iphofen/Kitzingen
• Reporting to: Global Head of Core Services, Service Owner
• Language skills: English, German
Other important points:
- Upgrade SQL-Server licens to standard
- Synchronization of the SQL data in a defined time line (once a day)
- Specify Person in Charge for installling and configuring Kubernetes & Kafka on Premise
- Install and configure Kubernetes & Kafka on Premise
- Connecting Data Center to Kafka
- Connectivity from Kafka to Cloud
- Architecture decision regarding authentication and authorization for connecting Kafka to the cloud
- Implementing authorization and authentication concept
- Authorization and Access concept in the cloud
- Access Control concept
- Provision VM, install and configure Nifi
- Provision and configure azure services
- Provision VM, install and configure Anaconda
- Connect Anaconda and HDInsight
- Documentation and Handover from operation to run
- Tranfer initial data load to Data Lake
- Recognize which deveopment stream is needed
