- For the HPC system installed on the HLRN, the customer needs a HPC Performance Engineer as support for the contractually agreed application support.

Main tasks:
- Code modernization with MPI and openMP
- Application Management of the HPC system (based on Intel Zeon Architecture)
Main qualifications
- Advanced knowledge in C/C++ and Fortran
- Ability of parallel programming with MPI and OpenMP, special emphasis is placed on new language features such as one-way communication with MPI and simd pragmas with OpenMP
- Extensive experience in the use of HPC systems
- Knowledge of current Intel Xeon processors and their performance characteristics
- Vectorization on Intel Xeon architectures with AVX, AVX-512 with pragmas and/or intrinsics
- Performance optimization of parallel applications
- Experience with some of the applications co-developed at the HLRN is also welcome, these are: PALM, FESOM2, BQCD, HEOM, Nyx
- German language skills are advantageous but NOT mandatory
