Amass Technology are looking for a Fullstack professional to join a Greenfield Development project based in Portugal on a long term, mostly remote basis.
- Greenfield Development: Design and build a new developer portal from the ground up, helping shape the architecture, tooling, and overall developer experience.
- Backend Engineering: Design and develop robust, scalable backend services using Kotlin and http4k.
- Frontend Development: Help define and deliver the frontend architecture, working with React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS to build modern, responsive user interfaces.
- AI Integration: Identify and implement opportunities to leverage modern AI tooling to enhance the portal and developer experience.
- MCP Integration: Design and develop backend services that integrate with the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Technical Problem Solving: Work collaboratively to navigate evolving requirements, evaluate technical options, and make pragmatic decisions in a fast-moving, greenfield environment.
- End-to-End Ownership: Take ownership of features and solutions from design through implementation and delivery.
- Kotlin: Proven commercial experience developing backend services using Kotlin.
- http4k: Experience with http4k is highly desirable.
- Frontend: Strong experience with modern frontend development, including TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS.
- Full-Stack Capability: Comfortable working across both backend and frontend technologies and contributing to architectural decisions.
- APIs & Services: Strong understanding of API design, backend services, and scalable software architecture.
- AI & Emerging Technologies: Interest or experience in integrating AI tooling and emerging technologies into software products.
- MCP: Understanding of or hands-on experience with the Model Context Protocol is desirable.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in ambiguous and evolving environments.
- Adaptability: Self-motivated and comfortable learning new technologies, experimenting with different approaches, and iterating quickly.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and a strong team-first approach.
