Beschreibung
THRYVE is building a pool of freelance controls engineers for battery storage, solar and wind projects across the DACH region. Projects run from site commissioning to longer controls and SCADA engagements, typically 3 to 18 months.
Responsibilities (project-dependent)
- PLC programming and commissioning of plant controls on BESS, PV and hybrid sites
- SCADA set-up, configuration and integration (plant SCADA, EMS and power plant controller interfaces)
- Signal and I/O checks, point-to-point testing and protocol integration with inverters, battery systems and substations
- Power plant controller / park controller testing and grid-operator compliance tests
- Supporting FAT/SAT, energisation and handover with the integrator, EPC or owner's team
- Technical documentation and commissioning protocols
Requirements
Essential:
- At least 3 years of hands-on PLC and/or SCADA work, with commissioning on site (not just office programming)
- At least one energy project in the last 2 years (BESS, PV, wind, hybrid, substation or power plant)
- Industrial protocols: Modbus TCP plus at least one of IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850, DNP3 or OPC UA
- Willing to travel to sites in Germany
Highly desirable:
- Power plant / park controller (PPC) testing, grid-code tests (VDE-AR-N *****, FGW TR 3/TR 8)
- SCADA platforms: WinCC / WinCC OA, Ignition, zenon, N3uron or equivalent
- PLC platforms: Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT, CODESYS, PLCnext
- German at B2 or above. English-only profiles are considered for remote and integrator-side roles.
