We are requesting an experienced GDS data / data modelling resource specifically with ESG Data domain experience.
Job Description:
1. ESG Data Modelling:
o Develop and maintain ESG data models that align with industry standards and business requirements.
o Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs related to Environmental, Social, and Governance metrics.
o Design and implement data structures that facilitate accurate and meaningful analysis of ESG data.
2. Cloud Architecture:
o Utilize Azure Cloud services to architect scalable and high-performance data solutions.
o Implement data storage, processing, and analytics solutions leveraging Azure services like Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, etc.
o Ensure data security, compliance, and governance in alignment with industry best practices and organizational policies.
3. Data Integration:
o Design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate ESG data from various sources into the Azure Cloud environment.
o Collaborate with data engineering teams to streamline data workflows and ensure data quality and consistency.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, analysts, and other teams to understand requirements and provide effective data solutions.
o Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, fostering a shared understanding of data architecture decisions.
5. Performance Optimization:
o Monitor and optimize the performance of data solutions, identifying and addressing bottlenecks or areas for improvement.
o Implement best practices for data storage, retrieval, and processing in the Azure Cloud environment.
6. Documentation:
o Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture, ESG data models, and Azure Cloud configurations.

Skills:
1. Good understanding of ESG topics, reporting frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
2. Excellent data modelling skills with experience in designing data architectures for complex business needs.
3. Proficient understanding of database structure principles.
4. Experience with data management techniques such as data integration, data quality, data governance, and metadata management.
5. Knowledge of different types of databases (SQL, NoSQL).
6. Familiarity with ESG data and analytics providers, tools, and platforms.
