Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain embedded firmware for medical devices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and optimization for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to control and integrate electronic and opto-electronic components of the sensor, ensuring cohesive system functionality.
• Develop and optimize protocols for transmitting sensor data to tablet software, enabling accurate and efficient data analysis and calculations.
• Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of firmware to meet industry standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with medical device regulations.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in Rust programming language, with a strong understanding of embedded systems development.
• Prior experience working with medical devices, with knowledge of essential performance requirements and regulatory standards such as IEC 62304 and ISO 13485.
• Familiarity with electronic and opto-electronic components, and experience in integrating firmware with hardware systems.
• Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate in a remote team environment.
• Understanding of medical device regulations and standards, such as FDA regulations, ISO standards, and IEC standards.
• Experience with communication protocols like SPI, I2C, UART, USB, or Bluetooth.
