For a contracting project in Berlin, our client is looking for an Engineer (m/f/d) with a background in Site Reliability Engineering and/or DevOps.Start: asap
Duration: 4 months
Location: Berlin
Remote : Partly possible
Your tasks:
The team is responsible for a variety of tasks, like configuration and infrastructure management and design, provisioning, troubleshooting and issue analysis.
Among those tasks, the two projects at the moment under the focus of the Team are:
Migration from a legacy VMWare based environment to a private OpenStack Cloud.
Setup and first use in production of a Kubernetes based PaaS solution
Your experience
- Bootstrapping and provisioning of cloud instances and infrastructure like DNS, floating IPs (Terraform, Cloud init)
- Schedulers (k8s, docker, nomad)
- Knowledge in relational and document-based DBs is a plus (MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Kafka and its connectors (Connect, Flume) is a plus
- Small application / tool development (Bots, Self service frontends, Cron-like tasks) is a big plus
- Classical System Engineering / System Admin experience is a plus
- Experience with Google Cloud in a Production Environment (to bring the company's software product to the customer).
- Experience with Service Mesh (preferably Istio)
- Java or Node.JS experience
- Strong cloud mindset and experience (AWS)
- Cloud monitoring / ELK knowledge is a plus
