We are looking for an “Design Specialist and Expert (m / f)" for our customer in the Telecommunication Sector with the following basic conditions:Start: asap

Role purpose:
As a Senior Design Specialist in Cloud and Hosting Services you will be part of a team that provides complex and high-quality Cloud & Hosting Solutions for customers. With customer focus a key element, it is the responsibility of the Design Specialist to carefully account for complex customer requirements and utilise the best-of-breed technologies to generate optimal Cloud & Hosting designs. Each solution will consider customer budget, functionality and future requirements along with internal implementation, development and support considerations.
Tasks:
• Design and develop innovative and competitive Cloud & Hosting solutions for large and complex customers, working both individually and in virtual technical teams (with Sales as part of Sell-Phase).
• Understand customers’ business requirements, financial impacts and ensure this is reflected in the C&H design. Influence and maximise the financial & technical benefits of the proposed solution to the customer
• Assist in the qualification of new business opportunities with solution consultants and account teams ensuring they are of a high technical standard.
• Technically lead the recommendation of proposals and solutions to customers (Director Level) by presenting and demonstrating an understanding of the solutions (technical and financial benefits to the customer).
• Produce customer specific documentation including presentations, proposals and orders.
• Works together with other entities and client vendors.
Requirements:
• Excellent knowledge of Cloud & Hosting (Storage, Backup VMware, Cisco UCS and networks architectures) on a professional and high SME level. Mentor to develop Junior Design Specialists
• Candidates must have demonstrated an ability to develop new / complex high end solutions in previous roles.
• Brings specific knowledge and experience to provide consultancy on areas of expertise to colleagues and customers alike, communication qualities in customer meetings (presentations)
• Ability to determine the critical success factors and to make considered decisions about the best use of technology in large enterprise environments for customers (incl. financial impacts)
• The role is based in Germany and will require regular travel to customers and some travel to the UK and other central Europe operating countries.
• Must be fluent in German and English and capable of holding detailed technical discussions at all levels in both languages.
