We are seeking a highly skilled Database and GIS Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting field validation activities through the use of mobile data collection software for site mapping. They will also handle inquiries by conducting data analyses using the databases within our department.Project Details:

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct data analyzes to address inquiries.
- Analyze, verify, and process site-specific data and geodata.
- Work on database management tasks, including database restructuring and expansion.
- Migrate project data from Access databases to MS-SQL Server.
- Merge project results with existing site data and analyze the combined datasets.
- Automate database processes for mapping key tasks in project areas.
- Prepare modified species inclination tables for mapping keys and digital applications.
- Document all work activities and maintain documentation standards.
- Provide guidance and training to project staff on data structures and database usage.
Must-have experiences:
- Excellent understanding of the data structure of site databases
- Proficiency in databases MS Access 2016 and MS SQL Server 2016
- Familiarity with geostatistics (R or Python)
- Knowledge of geospatial data processing with ESRI ArcGIS
