For an international HR transformation project, I am currently looking for an experienced Data Migration Lead (m/f/d) with a focus on Workday and SAP.
The role focuses on the global management of data migration, covering everything from strategy and methodology to test migrations, cutover activities, and go-live support. We are seeking a candidate who is both conceptually strong and capable of working hands-on in operations.

Framework Conditions
- Start: From November 1st (latest possible start by the end of December)
- Duration: 6 months with the option to extend
- Capacity: 100%; after 4-6 months, a reduction to approximately 3-4 days per week is possible
- Location: 100% remote
- Project language: English
Responsibilities
- Ownership of the global data migration strategy and methodology
- Definition of mapping and transformation rules
- Planning and management of test migrations, dress rehearsals, and cutover activities
- Coordination of international country teams and implementation partners
- Establishment and monitoring of a reconciliation framework
- Development and implementation of data cleansing strategies
- Management of ETL processes between source and target systems
- Facilitation of data mapping workshops
- Consolidation of migration status reporting and risk management
- Stakeholder management, including reporting and sign-off processes
Requirements
- Several years of experience as a Data Migration Lead
- Proven project experience with Workday
- Experience in SAP environments
- Experience in international transformation or migration programs
- Expertise in data cleansing, ETL processes, and reconciliation
- Fluent English skills
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in developing data migration concepts
- Strong hands-on mentality
- German language skills
