CONTRACT - Software Engineers - Java - 6 months rolling
Berlin, GERMANY based - Rate Negotiable/DOE
My client are currently the fastest growing Fintech company in Europe!
Their core service is to handle customer payments and claims for payments from businesses, thus eliminating the risk, both for seller and consumer. Born in Stockholm in 2005, the bank currently account for nearing half of all E-commerce sales in Sweden and now in established operations across the rest of Europe and the US, they are handling well over 20 billion in sales per year.
They are currently looking for talented and passionate Software Engineers to join the,ir team in the Berlin office.
They are working with: Java (OOP), microservices, JavaScript, NodeJS, React, Redux, Express, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, API and product development in Agile/XP Practices.
About the role:
You will be developing the next-generation of products that define how B2C relationships interact!
These products will be handling our clients money and information on a massive scale, extending well beyond online payment. You will be helping them in their mission to push technology forward by bringing ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, large-scale system design, data storage/processing, security, artificial intelligence, UI design and mobile development.
- Use state of the art technology to solve real problems for our customers at a massive scale
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve, you own the full life cycle of your code - you write it, you own it!
- Working in small autonomous teams with short release cycles, you will share knowledge and help the team evolve best practices

You will need:
Significant experience with writing Java production code on high availability systems, Experience of microservices architecture, Docker containers and Agile practices.
Bonus points for:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related discipline
- Experience with more than one general purpose programming languages
- Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed
The successful candidate must also possess working proficiency and communication skills in both written and verbal English - you should submit your CV in English. It is also necessary to have a right to work legally within Germany.
