Our client has asked us to find them a freelance Cloud Data Engineer to help them move from an AWS platform to a multi cloud environment. Due to the large amount of GDPR data that the platform will store/process, this person must be living in Germany.
Tasks:
- Help design Data Architecture patterns for the new data platform
- Help build an Azure cloud data platform
- Help manage and steer the project
- Act as a technical consultant
- Mentor junior team members
- Work with large amounts of GDPR data
Desired Skills:
- Strong Cloud Experience preferably multi Cloud experience (Azure/AWS/GCP)
- Worked on projects involving GDPR
- Understanding of different cloud storage layers
- Worked on Analytics in the cloud
- IAC (Infrastructure As Code)
- Knowledge of MPP: Synapse, BigQuery or similar
- ETL
- Deployment of Data Pipelines
- Big Data experience: Spark, Kafka etc
- MPP databases - synapse, big query ect
