Our client, a Munich based IT consulting company that focusses on providing a tangible value for its clients in the field of Big Data Analytics, is recruiting for a Cloud Data Engineer to join their business in the Munich.

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and communicate scalable DevOps practices
- In addition to others, DevOps practices should include: automation of build, test, provision, configuration,deployment, monitoring, and alerting activities; use of infrastructure-as-code technologies; and integration of full-stack and full-lifecycle technologies
- Keep and enforce organizational policies for network, infrastructure, and software security; identity and access management (IAM) and secrets management
- Perform research and development on new cloud, automation, and systems technologies and methodologies; Introduce new technologies to others in the organization to promote a culture of innovation.
- Architect and design software and systems solutions, including the re-architecture of business-critical systems

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or other related discipline required.
- 3+ years of systems engineering experience in a cloud environment (preferably AWS)
- Expert knowledge of systems architecture and design best practices,Linux systems administration, and application and infrastructure monitoring
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Ruby, or Go
- Proficiency in Shell programming
- Proficiency in at least one infrastructure configuration automation tool such as Chef, Puppet, or Ansible
- Familiarity with AWS EC2, S3 and IAM services, including best practices for infrastructure and data security
- Understanding of core IT, software development, and Agile concepts

It is highly desirable that the candidate possess one or more of the following:
- Expert knowledge of one or more infrastructure configuration automation tools
- Familiarity with AWS services used for automation, such as CloudFormation, OpsWorks, CodeDeploy, Elastic Beanstalk, and others
- Familiarity with microservices and serverless software architectures, including AWS Lambda
- Experience in the administration Web and Java Application servers, such as Apache, Nginx, and Tomcat
