Job Description?Windows Deployment Planning: Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to plan and develop deployment strategies for Windows operating systems across the organization. Understand business requirements and tailor the deployment process to meet specific needs.
MECM and MDT Configuration: Configure and maintain the MECM and MDT infrastructure to enable smooth and automated Windows deployment and upgrade tasks. This includes creating task sequences, packages, applications, PXE setup and driver management.
Image Creation and Customization: Create and customize Windows images to ensure they are pre-configured with necessary applications, settings, and drivers for different hardware models.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve deployment-related issues, such as image deployment failures, driver compatibility problems, and application installation errors.
Automation: Automate deployment processes to streamline workflows, minimize manual intervention, and improve deployment efficiency using PowerShell or VB script.
Testing and Validation: Conduct testing and validation of deployment images and upgrade sequences to ensure they meet quality standards and are compatible with various hardware and software configurations.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of deployment processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for reference and knowledge sharing.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to IT teams and end-users on Windows deployment processes and best practices.
Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in Windows deployment technologies. Propose and implement improvements to enhance deployment efficiency and effectiveness.
Mandatory Skills
Proven experience in Windows deployment and upgrade processes using MECM and MDT.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) toolsets.
Familiarity with Windows operating systems, patch management, and software distribution.
Experience in creating and customizing Windows images, task sequences, and application packages.
Knowledge of Intune, scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation tasks.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to deployment issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
