Business Analyst - Germany (local candidates)
Responsibilities:
- Rapidly attaining a sound understanding of the mission, direction, structure, mandates and requirements of the relevant business domain, building trust and managing relationships with business stakeholders.
- Analysis, modelling and documentation of client's business processes and business requirements, considering implementation constraints where required and, where not, avoiding unnecessary assumptions regarding implementation
- Analysis and documentation of conceptual data models, logical data models, and data dictionaries.
- Provision of support and advice regarding functional requirements to members of own team (including Business stakeholders, IT Project Managers, Solution Architects, Designers, Developers, and Testers).
- Contributing to preparation of test plans and functional test cases.
- Review of design for consistency with functional requirements.
- Assists to achieve project deadlines and schedules through active management of scope, business expectations, and priorities.
- Maintenance of analysis deliverables throughout design, development and test.
- Reporting progress and status to IT Project Managers.
- Preparing documentation for technical and non-technical audiences, for deployment on intranet / extranet / internet sites and on-line help.
- Adhering to a recognised system development methodology.
- Participating in User Acceptance Testing.
Essential Skills
- A minimum of three years of experience in Business Analysis focussing upon IT systems, with experience in the relevant functional area(s).
- Must have good analysis & investigation skills.
- Must be a self-starter who can own and drive the collection of complete, correct, deliverable functional requirements and business processes, rather than just ask questions.
- Must be a team player, experienced in working with others to achieve an objective.
- Ability to adhere to recognised system development methodology such as RUP.
- Experience with agile methodologies like SCRUM
- Experience in at least one project in data analysis and conceptual / logical data modelling.
- Experience in at least one project in Full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Understands internet, and client/server architectures.
- Possesses working knowledge of HTML and SQL.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
- Must be project-oriented, customer-focussed and responsive, with a professional manner.
- Experience in performing user acceptance testing
