RMS Application Operator1.1 Tasks
• Integrate RMS application into IT environments
o Define system landscape according to the needs of the project and IT requirements
o Determine and implement measures for a stable operation of the RMS application on environments
o Define runtime environments
o Setup monitoring (e.g. define monitoring tasks)
o Define and execute Disaster Recovery tests
o Implement measures to ensure high availability of the RMS application (e.g. automated restart of faulted processes)
o Setup of system configuration for the IT environments
o Setup scheduled Job operation for technical jobs
o Design and ensure compliance relevant settings
o Documentation (e.g. operational concept)
• Deploy RMS application to IT environments
o Manage and support source control (artefacts) and environment specific configuration
o Execute dedicated parts of defined quality gate
o Individual development of the deployment process
o Deployment of new versions supplied RMS to the IT environments
• Testing
o Definition and execution of smoke tests. Smoke tests are used to guarantee basic functionality of new versions of the RMS application
o Definition and execution of high availability test. High availability tests guarantee fault tolerance of the RMS application
o Configuration and execution of RMS for interface tests. RMS application Interfaces are Active Directory, ... (UWPF)
o Load, Performance and Failover Tests and their impact to technical adjustments
o Documentation of tests results
o Follow up error corrections
• Exchange of information with RMS
o Arrangement of deliveries supplied by RMS
o Adaption of system specific changes made by RMS
o Transfer of changes made to RMS

• Linux operating system especially Bash-Scripting
• Windows Operating System
• Virtualization
• .NET, Webserver/Webservices, Message Queuing systems
• Scripting for several platforms (Bash, cookbooks)
• Experience with big data applications
• Knowledge about distributed systems
• Active Directory
• Experienced in application operation tasks
• Readiness to adapt new / state of the art technologies (e.g. MongoDB, RabbitMQ, VMware, Artifactory, Run Deck, Chef, Zenoss, ...)
ideal: experiences with one or more of the listed technologies
• Familiar with ITIL processes
