Our team is looking for the AutoCAD Engineer to join one of our German clients. The project is for a minimum 6 months with possible monthly extensions thereafter.
An AutoCAD Engineer is responsible for utilizing AutoCAD software to create precise and detailed technical drawings for various engineering projects. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, excellent drafting skills, and the ability to interpret design specifications.
Resposibilities:
1. **Drafting and Design:** Create detailed and accurate 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD software based on project requirements, specifications, and design standards.
2. **Collaboration:** Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, designers, and project managers, to understand project objectives and translate conceptual designs into technical drawings.
3. **Accuracy and Precision:** Ensure the accuracy and precision of drawings by reviewing and verifying dimensions, materials, and adherence to relevant standards.
4. **Problem Solving:** Address design issues and modifications as needed during the project lifecycle, collaborating with the engineering team to find effective solutions.
5. **Documentation:** Prepare and maintain project documentation, including drawings, revisions, and design changes, to provide comprehensive records for future reference.
6. **Compliance:** Ensure that all drawings comply with industry standards, regulations, and client specifications.
7. **Software Proficiency:** Stay updated on the latest AutoCAD software features and enhancements to maximize efficiency and productivity.
8. **Quality Assurance:** Conduct quality checks on completed drawings to identify and rectify any errors or inconsistencies.
9. **Communication:** Effectively communicate technical information to team members and stakeholders, addressing questions and providing clarification as needed.
10. **Project Support:** Assist in project planning and coordination, offering technical expertise and support as required throughout the project lifecycle.
Job requirements
1-2 years of experience with:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and design standards.
- Attention to detail and precision in drafting work.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
- Written and spoken German is a must.
