Beschreibung

Acoustic Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the continuous improvement and application of a range of vehicle noise management systems including Active Noise Control, Random Noise Control and Engine Sound Synthesis. You will organize and execute vehicle tuning/testing, analyze data appropriately, and apply results towards the design of high performance audio systems utilizing advanced DSP, Acoustics, and Psychoacoustics engineering.

What You Will Do
1. Lead noise management systems integration and tuning, working with local and global development teams
2. Interface with OEM NVH teams to design, develop and continuously improve noise management systems applications
3. Understand customer and internal requirements for all development and pre-development projects on specifications of Engine Sound Synthesis, Engine Order Cancellation and Road Noise Cancellation.
4. Perform sofware and hardware testing of development designs
5. Generate and evaluates tuning procedures, tuning results, tuning reports, and other supporting documents as required.
6. Lead and may support, on-site testing, troubleshooting, field modifications

Anforderung:

What You Need
7. Bachelors degree in mechanical, electrical, acoustics engineering, or equivalent
8. 5+ years of experience in acoustics and/or Powertrain NVH
9. Specific experience in NVH data acquisition
10. Skilled in Head Acoustics ArtemiS, Siemens Testlab, or equivalent NVH testing and analysis tools
11. Experience with independently developing and executing test plans for NVH performance evaluation and root cause analysis
12. Knowledge and interest in music theory, sound composition, creative sound design, synthesizers (keyboard or computer), electronic music recording and production is strongly preferred
13. Ability to work independently to meet customer schedules and expectations


What is Nice to Have
14. Experience in tuning Acoustic Noise Cancellation systems
15. Prior experience with full vehicle NVH evaluation and testing performed on-road and proving grounds
16. Experience with planning and scheduling vehicle testing, accounting for internal and customer milestones and due dates. Experience collaborating with automotive OEM customers including demonstration of new technologies and identification and resolution of customer concerns with existing products
17. Education and experience in sound quality metrics and psychoacoustics
18. Knowledge of Matlab
