Tasks
Installation of System Servers based on installation manual.
Lifecycle Management of AIX Servers based on defined processes and steps.
2nd Level Support AIX and P-System infrastructure.
Software Distribution and managing NIM.
Configuration Management of UNIX systems and P-System Hardware, based on defined processes.
Change management of UNIX systems and P-System Hardware based on defined processes.
Review delivered packages and documentation.
Installation on test system.
Basic shakedown testing of new packages.
Implement changes and install changes on production environment.
SPOC for various Applications.
Requirements
In-depth knowledge of AIX Server 6.1 / 7.1 and years of experience in virtualization technology.
Experienced AIX, Linux Server Administrator (at least 5 years of experience) with knowledge of Solaris 10 and Linux RH6 / RH7.
Very good knowledge of NIM Server.
Good knowledge of P7 / P8 Hardware and Hypervisor.
Experience within Storage (HDS/EMC). SAN Infrastructure know-how preferred.
Basic knowledge of Active Directory / LDAP.
Basic knowledge of Monitoring Systems.
Scripting know-how and experience preferred (e.g. Shellscripting).
Change process know-how and experience.
ITIL know-how mandatory.
AIX Administrator Certificate is a big plus (e.g. IBM Certified System Administrator AIX).
Soft skills
Good German and English skills. Understanding of Swiss German is a big plus.
Motivated and communicative personality who is able to work team oriented and independently.
