AI Transformation Lead | AI in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) - Technical Project Management This position is for an experienced Techical Project Manager who has proven experience in consulting customers on AI Adoption specifically in the SDLC and who have left customers with measurable impact.
In the past you will have started your career as a Software Developer and be able communicate on a technical level.
Key Challenges

• How should AI consumption and tooling costs be measured and allocated within customer software projects?
• How do organisations determine the appropriate AI tooling and subscription level for different engineering roles?
• How can AI be effectively embedded across the entire SDLC rather than isolated to software development alone?
• Which AI agents, workflows and engineering accelerators deliver measurable value?
• How can organisations improve software delivery speed, quality, consistency and commercial competitiveness through AI adoption?
• How should AI capabilities be integrated across developers, data engineers, agile coaches, product owners, UX teams and other stakeholders?

Responsibilities

• Assess current AI adoption across engineering teams and software delivery processes
• Share industry best practices and lessons learned from comparable organisations
• Advise on AI-enabled engineering operating models
• Recommend approaches for AI tooling governance, usage and cost optimisation
• Identify opportunities for AI agents and automation throughout the SDLC
• Help align engineering teams with existing enterprise AI initiatives
• Provide guidance on developer enablement, training and adoption strategies
• Support the creation of a practical roadmap for AI-driven software delivery

Required Experience

• Proven experience implementing AI solutions across software engineering organisations
• Track record of improving software delivery performance through AI adoption
• Strong understanding of modern software development practices and cloud-native engineering
• Experience with tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, OpenAI, Azure AI and related developer productivity platforms
• Ability to operate at both strategic leadership and technical engineering levels
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and engineering leadership teamsStrong technical credibility
• Engineering leadership experience
• Commercial awareness of project-based software delivery
• Practical experience scaling AI within enterprise environments
• The ability to translate AI investments into measurable business outcomes
