Backend Web Developer | Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Docker, REST APIs

My core expertise lies in backend development with Java and Spring Boot. I design and build scalable, maintainable server-side applications – from RESTful APIs and multi-tenant architectures to role-based access control systems (RBAC).

I have hands-on experience with PostgreSQL for relational data modelling, Flyway for database migrations, and Docker for containerisation. For testing I rely on JUnit, and I work with CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable, automated deployments on Linux environments. Git and IntelliJ IDEA are part of my daily workflow, and I use Postman for API testing and documentation.

Industry-wise, I have worked primarily in the transport and logistics sector, where I built backend systems for document management and distribution as well as employee management, including systems designed to serve thousands of concurrent users. I have also contributed to a SaaS product, gaining experience with multi-tenant system design and the specific demands of scalable, subscription-based platforms.

I have experience working on large, complex codebases in cross-functional teams of 3 to 10 developers, and I communicate fluently in both German and English.

I am comfortable working in agile teams following SCRUM methodologies and have delivered projects across the full backend lifecycle – from initial architecture decisions to production deployment.
