I help fintech and event-driven platforms put an LLM in the loop on high-throughput, near-real-time streams. Apache Flink and Kafka do the heavy lifting first: deduplicate, enforce schemas, window, and enrich raw events. Embeddings and vector search then score and select only the candidates worth the LLM's attention, like fraud signals or priority tickets. So RAG runs against a small, prepared slice instead of the full stream. That solves the large-context problem and cuts cost as a side effect. For major or complex work I tune the pipelines directly in the Flink Stream API rather than staying in Flink SQL.
Development, stabilization, and enhancement of main streaming data pipelines for a leading Global Mobility Brand:
- Rescued and rebuilt the unstable main pipeline after a year of development, delivering a stable version just before production (processing GBps).
- Delivered full-cycle implementation of cold storage, large message handling, and package merging features in the main pipeline, enabling seamless migration of key features to other pipelines.
- Implemented end-to-end large message streaming ingestion (up to 64 MB) at the API level.
- Boosted DevOps flexibility by decoupling Flink configurations from the Kubernetes Flink Operator, adding DFS support, and defining production upgrade procedures for Flink.
- Major Java backend and REST API changes, including validation layers and integration endpoints, to support new streaming and migration workflows.
Contributed to the «TradeFinder» financial portal by migrating data pipelines, scripts (python, matlab, sh), and web interfaces to newer versions, addressing security issues and supporting ongoing maintenance and improvements.
