Took over ownership and technical maintenance of a central mRNA sequence management platform used by research scientists to design drug products, submit synthesis orders, and manage compliance workflows at a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company pioneering mRNA technology.

Key achievements:
  • Completed an OrientDB → CosmosDB migration in 4 weeks instead of the allocated 6 months, backed by an extensive integration and end-to-end test suite.
  • Took full product ownership: led monthly user meetings, prioritized the backlog with scientific data management, research, and production teams, and user-tested critical features.
  • Delivered a full legacy-to-cloud migration as sole developer while continuing feature work — moving an on-prem HTML/jQuery/Express/OrientDB stack to Azure, Docker, React, tRPC, and CosmosDB without pausing development.
  • Maintained interoperability with the lab ecosystem by updating legacy Java LIMS interfaces (e.g., SLIMS, Sapio), safeguarding the integrity of mRNA sequence data critical to research, clinical trials, and IP.
  • Passed an internal audit by producing system documentation and test specifications and presenting them to auditors.
  • Managed ramp-down activities after the company's acquisition, including consolidating internal apps, removing on-premise dependencies, and preparing servers for shutdown.
