Globally accountable for creating, managing and driving the guardrails and ensuring
a) compliance with regards to all relevant technical rules in ERP and NON ERP projects and operations
b) adherence to standards in technical and data architectures
c) best in class ERP technical practices and roadmap

Key tasks & responsibilities

- Develop and drive methodologies for the Technical & Data Architecture Governance Team including templates, tracking tools, training material etc to enable the group to support Global Project Teams & strategic partners
- Drive and influence agendas through collaboration with a broad array of stakeholders within the organization
- Drive and manage the ERP infrastructure design
- Develops enterprise standards to ensure compatibility and integration of multi-vendor and multi-provider platforms
- Influence the short & long term architecture strategy for the overall ERP project portfolio in cooperation with Enterprise Architecture, project teams and strategic partners
- Drive and manage proof of concepts or pilots to define ERP technology direction
Oversees and facilitates the evaluation and selection of ERP software technology and product standards, as well as the design of standard configurations for technology risks
Designs, drives, and manages infrastructure blueprints for the implementation of new ERP solutions
- Articulate strategic, emerging, and operational technologies to DF and other IT functions as to how they can benefit the Bayer business
- Define roadmap for Bayer ERP platform in the area of ERP Technical Architectures_
- Analyze requirements and steer technical scope of ERP platform
- Define and manage timeline for implementation of changes
- Define release strategy and cycle
- Steer and determine path for technical upgrades of ERP platform
- Influence decisions on adding new or retiring existing modules

- Influence SAP on future development of SAP ERP products
- Exchange information with peer companies
- Drive, manage, oversee and support with technical expertise to ensure the success of complex projects and business critical operations escalations
- Ensure end-to-end ERP process and solution expertise, breaking down functional and organizational barriers to work collaboratively across ERP and other IT functions
