In the insurance industry, posting logic and business acceptance tests are often unnecessarily prone to errors. This results in time-consuming clarifications, manual corrections, and risks in accounting. I help insurers—with a focus on life insurance—to implement posting logic in a technically sound manner, set up acceptance tests properly, and analyze complex error patterns in a structured way. It is particularly important to me to understand the root causes and only then address the symptoms in the next step. I work at the interface between business units and IT.
Current Project Description (since 01.2025) at a large life insurance:
The primary task involves migrating claim data for life insurance contracts
into the new inventory system and ensuring that the service processes
function properly.
One challenge is that the technically more complex products, e.g. Riester contracts, now need to be migrated. Another challenge is
the deadline for completing the migration due to the shutdown of the host
system at the end of 2026.
Project Results:
Automation of accounting tests using Python pyautogui, thereby
reducing the number of testers and saving time.
Job Description:
- Migration of complex claims to the new legacy system
- corporate pension plans, consortia, policy loans, Riester, Rürup, etc.
- Data analysis with DB2 SQL: sum, having, subselects, etc.

- Tests for accounting
