Devops engineer

I am a certified DevOps and Cloud Engineer with over three years of hands-on experience in deploying scalable infrastructure, automating CI/CD pipelines, and managing cloud platforms. My background combines academic excellence—a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Bonn—with real-world expertise across Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitOps, and more.   I began my career as a Working Student and Trainee at Uniper, a major energy company in Germany, where I transitioned into core DevOps roles. During my time there, I was deeply involved in designing and implementing infrastructure automation, leveraging tools such as Terraform and Helm to manage Kubernetes deployments and Azure resources. I also implemented GitOps practices to streamline the deployment lifecycle, improving both stability and development velocity.   One of my key achievements was supporting the migration of Kafka infrastructure from a PaaS solution (HDInsight) to a fully managed SaaS solution (Confluent Cloud), enhancing system reliability and reducing operational overhead. I also helped modernize the Sales & Trading platform by integrating various Azure services, including Logic Apps and Azure Data Factory, to enable better data flow and operational automation.   I hold an AZ-400 certification in Microsoft DevOps Solutions, and I'm currently preparing for the AZ-104 to solidify my cloud administration credentials. I’m also familiar with Agile and Scrum methodologies, and I have practical experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana, as well as scripting with PowerShell and Bash.   What sets me apart is my adaptability and passion for continuous learning. Whether it’s building a Helm chart from scratch, troubleshooting production pipelines under pressure, or supporting legacy systems during migration, I bring both technical skill and a problem-solving mindset. My fluency in English and working proficiency in German help me navigate international and multicultural environments effectively.   Currently based in Cologne, I am seeking remote or hybrid DevOps opportunities where I can contribute to building reliable systems and scalable automation pipelines. My goal is to join a forward-thinking team where I can continue to grow, share knowledge, and make an impact.
